Opening your full NLE on-site often invites requests for instant tweaks, turning a quick check-in into an extended, unpaid edit session. Logging feedback directly on this page lets you capture their comments cleanly and make the cuts later in the suite.
Using distinct marker colours also unlocks powerful workflow advantages, allowing companion scripts to group tasks, generate summaries, and save hours during revision passes.
Universal NLE Integration
Exchange marker data freely across any NLE that supports CSV, JSON, or Marker EDLs. You can generate marker data in your system and pass it off cleanly to an editor working on an entirely different platform.
If your software cannot export modern marker formats natively, simply drop your Marker EDL or data file onto this page, append your notes, and export it into a format their system can read. You can also send collaborators a link to this page so they can cross-check marker position accuracy, colours, and notes before importing.
Blackmagic Restrictions
Each new release of DaVinci Resolve can limit plugin capabilities for free Resolve users.
Free DaVinci Resolve 21.1 has very limited plugin support.
However, there is still a limited connection available.
Use the dailyRushes export and import scripts to facilitate this connection.
Run ESMarkerExport inside Resolve to produce a file that will populate the fields on this page automatically.
The reverse may also still be possible.
Run ESMarkerImport to place your client's comments directly onto your timeline as markers, so you can automate populating your edit with frame-accurate feedback.
DaVinci Resolve Workflow Bridge
Recent releases of DaVinci Resolve place tighter restrictions on plugin capabilities for free users, but this page maintains the connection between setups. Run ESMarkerExport inside Resolve to produce a file that automatically populates the fields here, or run ESMarkerImport to drop client comments directly onto your timeline as frame-accurate markers.
If automated script options are unavailable in your version, the page functions entirely standalone through manual entry or by dragging and dropping a JSON file sent from a Studio user. It serves as an active bridge between free and Studio editions, as well as disparate NLEs, ensuring software mismatches never lock you out of a project.
